Forgatch Overhead Doors is one of the oldest overhead garage door companies in the United States.  It was started in 1923 by M. Stanley Forgatch.  The Forgatch’s owned and operated it for 65 years. Then it was taken over by the Hughson’s who owned and operated it until 2009.  It is now partners with M & I garage doors in Sullivan County and Open Sez Me in Rockland County.  Donna Hughson, who has worked for and operated the company for 25 years, is still an essential part of the team. 

We install and repair all types of residential, commercial, and industrial doors and operators.  We sell everything from low end hollow steel doors to the highest end custom wood doors.  Our main suppliers are CHI Doors and Liftmaster operators.  Our prices are extremely competitive and our installers are some of the best in the industry. We’ve been in the same location for 89 years and we expect to be here for the next 89 years.
